Made to Measure Conservatory Roof & Side Blinds from Chic Blinds
The addition of a conservatory is probably the most popular home improvement of recent years. A conservatory is quite unique as it provides an environment that is completely different to that offered in any other part of the house. Very often however the full benefit of the conservatory is never achieved because insufficient consideration is given to a suitable shading system for both the roof and sides.
Conservatory Roof Blinds
Other than with some north facing conservatories, most conservatories become uncomfortably hot in summer and, in many cases, to the point of being unbearable. With clear glass or polycarbonate, glare and the fading of furniture can also be a big problem.
Fortunately these problems can be resolved by the fitting of purpose designed Chic Pleated Conservatory Roof Blinds. Our pleated blinds with the heat reflective backing can really be dramatic in effect. Typical comments from customers after fitting have been:

Apart from the practical benefits in terms of heat and glare control, an additional benefit is in the very impressive finished effect once the blinds are fitted. The 20mm pleated fabric is available in a variety of colours, including pastel shades, white and cream, plus a range of bolder shades. The manufacture and fitting of pleated roof blinds is very much a specialist area requiring specialist training and experience. For this reason the majority of window blind companies do not offer roof blinds as part of their range. Chic, however, offer a wealth of experience having been specialist manufacturers of conservatory roof blinds for nearly 20 years. The initial stage would be a visit from one of our designers who would recommend a suitable system for your conservatory and provide you with a FREE QUOTATION without obligation. Should you then decide to proceed then one of our surveyors would visit you to take detailed measurements, prior to the manufacture of the blinds at our Gorseinon factory. The fitting of the blinds would normally take place approximately 4 weeks from the initial order.
There are 2 alternate methods of fitting to the conservatory roof. The standard system involves fixing the blinds direct to the roof by screwing into the roofs bars. More recently, the development of the "International Perfect Fit Roof Systems" means that blinds are manufactured and fitted into their own frame at our factory. The complete blind with frame is then fitted to the roof by the use of special fixing clips which cuts out the need to do any drilling into your conservatory roof and ensures an exceptional smart and perfectly fitting finish.
Conservatory Side Blinds
When it comes to the conservatory sides, Chic are not restricted in what they can offer. We take pride in being able to design a blinds system "just for you". Our designers will explain all the options to you and help guide you to the most suitable system dependent on your preferences and budget considerations. In most instances vertical blinds would be the lowest cost option, and also give control of privacy if your conservatory is overlooked. However you may prefer the style or appearance of rollers, roman or venetian blinds. Increasingly the most popular choice for the side windows are pleated blinds due to their smart, contemporary appearance and to co-ordinate with the roof blinds. The new 'Perfect Fit' (patented) blind from Louvolite has taken the market by storm. The Perfect Fit blind gives a fantastic fit and integrated finish, and can be fitted without any drilling or screwing into the windows.
